We are a Leadership-based wellness program offered by The Sacred Circle, 508(c)1a.
Our Mission
We believe that human beings possess an inherent capacity for awareness, wisdom, compassion and conscious choice. Through contemplative practice, self-inquiry, education and service, individuals can develop greater awareness of themselves and their relationship with others and the world. We seek to cultivate conscious individuals who bring this awareness into leadership, education, community and service.
Facilitation
Intended for educational communities, teachers and young adults, facilitated by Eric D. Biseca, N.D. and Ms. AJ Jawarah-Lindsay. Dr. Biseca specializes in trauma-related anxiety, teen mental health and nervous system resetting. Ms. Lindsay is a qualified life coach and forty year practitioner of wellbeing practices.
Reasoning
We promote leadership through intention, resilience and compassion while curbing teen mental health issues (aggression, attention deficit, depression, stress). By facilitating the acquisition of skills related to self-awareness, motivation, empathy and attention, we promote self responsibility and educate participants about the workings of the brain and nervous system, as it relates to self-regulation and greater mental capacities of awareness. Furthermore, the program seeks to address the following socio-academic issues:
Promote leadership, resilience and communication skills
Increase self awareness, abilities associated with self-regulation, discipline and emotional intelligence
Increase test scores, performance and student attendance
Lessen overall incidences of addictive, punitive-based behavior
Provide teachers with wellness skills and ability to manage a mindful classroom
